Slitter Commander 300 features duplex take-up drives with tension control. Automatic Pre-set for accurate measurement. Our TruMeasure measuring device is certified by the Indiana Bureau of Standards. Edge guide on front take-up drives as well as on the rear drive that also has pneumatic tension control. The slitting mechanism consists of pneumatic score cutters that press against an anvil tube. As the material passes through the mechanism, the fibers are literally crushed to separate the material. We, however, use a variable speed drive to rotate the anvil tube to rotate the pneumatic cutters faster than the material is passed through the machine. This speeds up the operation as well as makes cleaner cuts. In a case where there may be a dull spot on a rotating blade, the rotating anvil speeds up the blade so minor dull spots are negligible. Overhead E-Z Load/Unloading System is an option available to handle loading and unloading material.
